Info: Asics teams up with Monkey Time, a Japanese menswear company, to produce a black and white version of the Gel-Lyte 5. This colorway was inspired by the noir style crime/mystery dramas of the 1940s and 1950s. The entire shoe is dressed in a perforated premium white leather. The front and middle of the shoe are white and the heel is black. Grey accents are located on the heel tab. Embroidered "Asics" can be seen on the tongue and heel tab. The midsole is white for the front and middle of the shoe. The midsole becomes a mix of half white (bottom) and half black (top) in the heel portion of the midsole, with the black section having grey speckles. The outsole follows the same pattern seen throughout the shoe, with the front and middle outsole being white and the heel portion of the outsole being black. Reflective 3M can be seen throughout the shoe. The black laces have grey/white 3M stripes. On the lateral side, the Asics arches are covered in 3M. On the medial side, the Asics arches are outlined in 3M. The grey section of the heel is 3M. The grey speckles in the black portion of the midsole are also 3M.
